« on: 05/02/2015 16:38:05 »
Hi Everyone,

Just want to share these wonderful Yale summer programs for high school students. The application deadline is 2/26/15, so hurry up if you wanna apply.

Check their website: newbielink:http://globalscholars.yale.edu/ [nonactive]

The Yale Young Global Scholars Program is an academic enrichment and leadership-training program for talented high school students from around the world, who live and study on the Yale campus during the summer. The program features intensive undergraduate-level coursework and interaction with renowned Yale faculty and practitioners in the fields of history, political science, law, economics, international affairs, public health, and environmental science.

Students may apply to any of the three, two-week summer sessions offered: Politics, Law, and Economics (June 23-July 6) focuses on important ideas and thinkers in the American political and intellectual tradition; International Affairs and Security (July 9-22) explores strategic lessons from history and their application to contemporary international affairs; and Science, Policy, and Innovation (July 25 – August 7) examines interdisciplinary approaches to global health, energy and environment, and climate change.

Last summer, 48% of the Yale Young Global Scholars attended high school outside the United States, representing 80 different countries. Participants bring a wide array of perspectives into the classroom, fostering international awareness and further enhancing the stellar academic curriculum.
