Do you like bright or nuetral colors in your home

I like bright rich and vibrant colors, they make me feel alive! Do colors change your moods? Which ones effect you the most?

My own view is that bright colours should be used to produce highlights.  If the entire background is too bright, it overwhelms the detail.  The background should remain the background, and not be confused with the foreground.

I agree it makes the items you choose stand out even more.. George does the color of a room you are in effect your mood....?  Blue rooms make me feel kind of lazy and blah! Red is great but can make me nuts unless I soften the lights and make it more intimate.. I love Hunter green its my all time favorite color, then mauve! I do like splashes of bright color! around me... Feeling weird to day kind of yucky... need to jazz things up a bit!

The colours of the walls of the room do not make a great deal of difference to my room.  What does make a great difference is the colour of the ambient light.  In general, it is depressing to be in a room devoid of natural light, but at least when natural light is absent of necessity, I do tend to try and use daylight balanced light bulbs.

Sometimes the background is most important as it is dependent upon the motiff and what the persons tastes are...

I am a bit ecclectic, but I kind of want a mix of whimsical and romantic with touches of wood and lots of color!!! Fun though....No white walls or neutrals. Something colorful but not overpowering...I have the room about half way cleared as of a couple hours ago!  I want the room to speak to my depression and chase it away!!!! YES....! mood enhancer if you will!
