Scientists at the U.S. Navy’s San Diego SPAWAR Systems Center have produced something unique in the 17-year history of the scientific drama historically known as cold fusion: simple, portable, highly repeatable, unambiguous, and permanent physical evidence of nuclear events using detectors that have a long track record of reliability and acceptance among nuclear physicists.
 
Using a unique experimental method called co-deposition, combined with the application of external electric and magnetic fields, and recording the results with standard nuclear-industry detectors, researchers have produced what may be the most convincing evidence yet in the pursuit of proof of low energy nuclear reactions.

I would be amused to know the ratio of energy inputed to these devices compared to the amount recovered, when one blows up and destroys the lab I might take some notice

They are not trying to measure the energy balances on their recent experiments, but some of their older work may show that. Check the published references at the end of our article newbielink:http://newenergytimes.com/news/2006/NET19.htm#ee [nonactive].

Other readers of our article have said they will not take notice until a paper publishes or replications occur. You are the first to state that you might take notice after an experiment blows up and destroys the lab.

This is unlikely to happen. Of the thousands of LENR experiments over the last 17 years, there have only been a handful of explosions, these most likely have been the result of conventional science. The reactions seem to demonstrate a moderate rate of release of energy, not rapid. A good way to blow up the lab is to generate Hydrogen, the Germans did this with some of their nuclear fission research
