What can you not sleep without ?

Me ?..I have to have the radio on, usually a talking radio station and what ever the time of year I have to have a fan on !..LOL..we get through lots of fans as the family is picking up my habit..

and you ?..................and why ?...what's the special significance or special history of your special bed time necessities ?..(oooooh)

For years I could not sleep without the TV set turned on.. then  I moved to the radio also. Now it is just hard no matter whats on..or off. I find I have to clear my head of stressful thoughts by concentrating on humorous memories or a face of some one I love or a funny event that may surround them.Must be no worries of money problems etc. or I can't sleep at all. I never had a blanky or anything like that, although I cannot sleep On a super hard pillow or too soft of a pillow and I have to have two pillows!LOL

Me has to have two pillows too...two to use when I'm reading...and when I try to sleep it's one for my head and one between my sheepy thighs !!

But, to be honest..my bed time is null and void most times !!...

For as long as I can remember, I had to have the tv on, but Corky has to have silence.  This usually wasn't a problem when he was drinking.  I would go to bed after he passed out and turn the tv on and he was none the wiser.  Now that he no longer drinks (1 year sober - YAAAAYYYYYY), it's impossible to do that, he immediately wakes up.  So I've learned to sleep without it.  I have to have the ceiling fan on, and usually have another room fan on, and always sleep better and feel safer when the stud muffin is home.

I cannot stand silence when I am trying to sleep! I want music or something on...

I used to have to sleep with a pillow between my thighs because I was waking with a back ache. I even slept with my leg over my hubbies hip for the longest time but that drove the guy nuts he doesn't like anything touching him at night!

So now there are no hips pillows ect. And I find my self curled up in semi fetal position one leg down and the other pulled upas if I were tring to climb something... Is that not weird or what!

Oh My gosh I am a chatterbox when I get tired. I need someone to talk to or something to listen to besides my brain which cannot disconnect long enough for me to go to sleep without chatter or noise.. I prefer radio or tv. I hate the sound of the still house creaking and moaning. Then theirs my brain which seems to be in overdrive.. tv and music help me relax and I turn the tv on first thing every day if I don't have the radio on first! I like some noise... Even with the worse migraine I have to have something on even softly!

I need complete darkness or near as possible to it. Otherwise I can sleep pretty much anywhere  []
I can make most things feel comfortable for myself, especially known uncomfortable ones  []

Neil Doesn't everyone cuddle pillows! I like those big fluffy body pillows, you can wrap your legs and arms and everything around them Hmmmmmmmmm so comfyyyyyyyy!

I have to say I don;t have a special toy or blankey !..I used to...but when I hit 40 I decided to stop sucking my thumb and holding my ear and passed on my teddy and rabbit and elephant to my offspring...


When my bed is cold though I may pick up a one of the sleeping bra..errhm..children and place them in the bed for ten minutes and then with haste...return them to their own beddy dwelling and jump in to nice warm comfy layer !!.








(note to self: Neil...go back and tell them that you do not really use a child as a bed warmer !!..sheesh !!)

LOL LOL! You are too funny! In the dead of winter I like a electric Blanket as it gets in the 20's and I don't have gas or electric heat in the house, I have a wood burner stove in the other end of the house . It gets really nippy.. I grow Icecycles from the drips forming off my cold nose and eyebrows... Brrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh!
