Computer or server problem! Can anyone Help?
« on: 20/11/2006 02:37:15 »
Well I have Aol as my service provider last week we ordered asis internet as we cannot get DSL in our area without cable television. So My asis is supposed to b a much faster dialup connection, so far there is a noticable difference in the way it connects and moves from site to site.. Here is the problem We have opted to keep Aol until I get everything transferred and am happy with the other service! Meanwhile even though AOL is closed while I am signed on to asis, My Aol keeps trying to sighn on at the same time and is causing trouble poping up and trying to sign on to the point it reeks havoc and then knocks me off my asis.. Does anyone know what is causing this problem! How may I fix it and keep both options available I am only really concerned with my mail in Aol..Please help if you can?

Hi Karen!  AOL is very territorial of your computer as it has been for most of us in the past....I had to clean out every file that had aol on it...to keep it from doing that...

There are very few ways of reliably removing the malware that is AOL.
The best is of course to format the drive but that's rather drastic unless you have all your personal stuff backed up and copies of all your install disks for your programs and downloaded products. Oh, and a windows install disk with a valid license key.

Run a search for 'remove AOL' on the A2K forums : http://www.able2know.com/forums/search.php

There is a lot of information there on how to get rid of AOL's virusware and other malware.

OK Also having problems with asis, it is only showing me certain pictures in the zeta thread, or even no pictures like for instance the pictures at the top of this page for instance. See admin. tools no pict. inly red x in box, see rent, no picture, only red x in box! Now sign on in aol and they display and work correctly. All of the pictures!
