I missed the soup out of you this last weekend! But I had a terrific Saturday.. There was no way anyone could make my day sad .. It was a glorious day filled with lots of wonderfulness! I was warm and happy all Day Long!!!Even On Sunday! How about that!

I have have met several parents that moved here after the devastation there who say they will never go back.. The devastation was more then thet ever wish to see again.. Now they have moved to humboldt. We are right on the cascadia and san andreas fault lines. The SAn Andreas empties about 5o miles south of me into the ocean and we , my house and many otheres set right on top of the cascadia subduction zone.. We haveLots and lots of earthquakes. I have a crack in my wall from the last big one was a 7.2 shaker. The worst one I have experienced! It's funny how people choose between the two evils! We have only had one Hurricane here that I know of and it broke the equiptment at the airport moving at over 101 miles and hour! I like the wind, like a child it makes me feel full of energy. This one was awesome. The skys turned completely this deep red which I had never seen before then it turned a browner red kind of color in the middle of the afternoon. The wind was crazy and by evening we had so much property on our Property it was crazy ! We had Garbage cans and lawn chairs and barbeques and things you wouldn't think of that had blown from over ten miles away.. Cans had addresses from Clear in arcata and we are inland and sheltered bt the forest . You would not have believed.. I guess you would since you have probably seen worse where you guys are. For here it is unusual!!It uprooted two huge oak trees which sat on either side of my trailer, in the process it flipped my old car over upside down... It was crazy . I had stuffed my Kitty into my jacket and zipped her in as I was frightened and so was she. She was going nuts! I then locked my Trailer door and walked towards this house which at the time was my parents house. I was renting their trailer! I was about 20 feet away from trailer when I heard the most horrifying noise I have ever heard ! It was like the earth taking a huge breath and moaning loudly and increasing in volume as I turned around to look behind me, the two trees came up out of the grounda and came falling towards me.. the car raised up under the roots as the tress went crashing to the ground and I was running to get out of the way of the trees! As the trees landed their roots completely flipped the car over on its side . rocking like a craddle on top of the disturbed earth. the wind then caught hold of it and threw it up and flipped it over onto the roof of the car!! I stopped running and kind of froze, my cat was ripping my stomach up trying to get away as she was scared to death as was I! I was able to get her inside of my mothers home, much more stable then a trailer. Then I just put her in a room with the other animals as we had brought them all in as we were going to loose them if we did not! It was awing to see the damage we were without power for 3 weeks and trees were down every where around us. we were three days before we could get out down the road and that was with every neighbor working all day to clear the roads from the trees. They were all completely blocked by numerous trees, not just one or two. At the time we had alot more forest surrounding us. They have begun clearing the woods and cutting down the redwoods so there are fewer trees now. Only have then on one side of me directly now days. they are here on other side, but they have cleared enough that now it is a community in between us and the edge of the forest now on thenorth side! Any way I don't know whats really worse but because I know what to expect here, I choose to stay here!
