The first thing I noticed is that it appears to unfold, like a fan, except that the rotation centers don't seem to line up.  Also, there seems to be a wide depth of focus, implying that the photo was taken from some distance away, which in turn implies that it's big.  The blue background looks like it's the sky.  I can't make out any fabrication marks either, which also suggests that it's big.  My best guess is that it's an abstract work of art.  I just hope MonikaS is still around to tell us.

Is it some sort of fan or water wheel! It looks like a a few huge spoked wheels with hog wire on it!

I am counting three individual wheels covered with wire but they seem to be turning at different paces or separately from each other possibly different rates of speed...?

well  I thought first the spout of a cofee pot as lee was guessing then I thought no thats too eay maybe the hinge section of an ultra moder toilet seat!!! Lol.... best to take a guess  just in case we were both wrong!
