Here's a new one!

Also, I know it's not the done thing, but I'm posting this and then going away for 2 weeks from the end of this week, so you won't find out until 2009! Anyway....

Dunno, it just came to my mind. It was a surprise for me too that I got it right at once and thus disappointed RD.

Now that you mention it, it does kind of look like a cappuccino or something similar... Whats all those particles on the surface? Looks like fine bits of chocolate to me.

I had an excellent xmas, thanks Eth.

This is not a coffee-based beverage of any sort, nor is there any addition of choccy flakes.

BUT - it is edible (in the real sense of food).

Just to be sure, it's not some kind of German food that no one has heard about is it?

Noone, except all those who live in Germany or are familiar with German cuisine? [;)]

No, it is not unique to Germany.

It is known in many European countries, and I'm sure that there are also equivalents in both Eastern and American gastronomy.

With a big frothy head? Nope.

It's not a beverage at all.
