Yes well early embryonic stage tends to resemble traits of the ancestors... so early embryonic chicken looking like its ancestor. Stefan, what do you want in the way of specifics? A chicken is a chicken!

The story was that researchers have studied the development of crocodilian-like teeth in chicken embryos, which shows that chickens still retain the genes for making teeth but normally silence them.
