It was 24°F when I left this morning, but is now 31°. Due to get up to 48° with slightly overcast skies. The wind is a gentle 3 to 4 mph from the south. The sun is due to set at 17:35 this evening.

To local news now, the Black Caps will be looking to build on their 1-0 lead in the Chappell-Hadlee series across the ditch when they face Australia tomorrow at the WACA. No doubt the Aussie team will be hurting after their last ball defeat to the Kiwis, however it was their bowling attack that kept them in the game as well as a couple of dodgy decisions, especially this one:

I watched it. The wickie knocks the bails off. The batsman is not bowled. The ball may have been going to hit the stumps, but did not, which does not constitute the batsman being "out".

I actually slept for ten straight hours last night... very nice sleep .. I was whipped so it was really nice!
