Oh...I'm hanging in there. I'm on the mend.

I'm in Georgia till tomorrow. Came up for my Mom's birthday yesterday, got pulled over TWICE on the way up! Today went to Ashley's dorm to look at a problem she's having. Her room is full of black mold! She has severe allergies and stays sick, she can't sleep at night because she can't breathe. Half her outlets don't work. She plugged in her Ipod radio and sparks flew up in her face and clothes. The mold ruined her rug and some of her clothes.

I went to the housing department and had a minor fit and insisted on our money back for her dorm room. I'm 99% sure we'll get it, so now we have to move her out and into an apartment.

Its new... Dave is trying it out.. will be changing to just scientific topics and correct answers etc...

I am sorry about asleys room.. I have been having to deal with mold the last couple weeks .. cleaned a room for my daughter to move home.. and from no heat for a year the mold had really gotten foot hold in a closet.. I have had to have them bleach it really good to kill the mold spores and then she purchased primer with mold stuff in it and paint treated also to stop it from growing... It is much better cleaned bleached,and painted.

I am glad you are getting her an apartment..You would think with the tuition the way it is that they would see to it that the housing dorm rooms were safe for the occupants!

There have been so many cutbacks that schools are really taking it...programs being closed and shortcuts everywhere!

They're closing that dorm down after this year. Over the holidays, they bleached it and repainted, but it's all up and down the walls and in her air conditioner. When I told them which dorm she was in, they said it would be no problem, but they want to move her into another dorm, which is much smaller. I've said absolutely not, we've already found her an apartment. *sigh* Now we have to find bedroom furniture.

Hopefully she'll start feeling better now.

Try out checking your area on line for free stuff and exchange.. etcbut in your area.. where people have things they want to get rid of.. ie good furniture and household goods... They have one here in Humboldt sometimes they trade sometimes you just go pick it up.. generally no charge but usually perfect good stuff!
