All life forms that depend on cell division can get cancer.
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of normal cells'
In plants it is most evident in trees, and comes in the form of burls. Because of the uncontrolled growth, burls do not follow the standard 1 growth ring a year rule, but produce a cacophony of twisted, convoluted growth patterns that make them some of the most valued craft timber around.
