We all need to roll our sleeves up and get in the trenches and get our hands dirty if we want results NOW.

That means outreach, phone calls, emails...communication with the-outside-medical-world-that-doesn't-understand-POIS! Ever hear the expression, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? It means those who scream loudest, longest, and shriekiest get the [medical] attention they need.

Let's think of ourselves as aliens from another galaxy. How do we communicate with these stupid earthlings?  []

Just remember what was said earlier.... fertility (or in this case abscence of it) is their goal and they may be sensitive to a quirky ailmente entering the formula...

However, as to their potential understanding and capacity to resolve our problem though, there are probably not many who could do better.

Horizon wrote a letter to the Assn. Of Andrology and coincidentally, the woman I hope to reach is also President of that Association!

Spoke to Dr. Wang this morning, the Director of the Male Contraceptive Study and renowned fertility expert. 

Unfortunately, she cooled when the discussion turned to POIS. As an example, those with "sexual dysfunction" symptoms are disqualified from her studies, as are those people who have had testosterone and/or progesterone.

But I wouldn't let it go until she coughed up a referral, which I did get: Jacob Rajfer, MD, a urologist/researcher, who studies "sexual dysfunction" and has specialized in the study of nitric oxide, which we have discussed extensively here as it relates to POIS. He's also involved in a number of associations that promote endocrinology.

I will follow up with Dr. Rajfer asap.

i wonder when realistically, assuming its a successful trial, the P/T contraceptive will become available to the public?
1,2,5,10 years?

I wonder if we could get the formula, as in, how much P and T they use and get our doctors to administrate our own POIS trial with our own endo?

Am I thinking too idealistically here and not in the real world?

The one in Edinburgh are using injections, demo, am I right in thinking P pills/T patches might be better for pois?

Hard to say, horizon, but I noticed that the Contraceptive Study Director, Dr Christina Wang, whom I spoke with this morning, feels that gel is better than patches or pills. Some more info on Dr. Wang (feel free to call or email them):

Can i ask you some more questions about your the effects of your treatment?

1) Has there an instance so far where you can sense you have taken too much?
as in, that "whoo, im not doing that again" type feeling

Or so far it has been a case of "the more, the merrier"?

2) Demo describes a "sense of well-being" (happier?) with TRT, would describe the same for P?
If not, is it more, "a nulling of the bad feelings"?

3) has it effected your energy levels?
up/ or down, the same?
Is it the higher the dose = the more energy?
or the higher the dose = more drowsy?

4) have there been instances where they effected any headaches?
brought them on?
stopped them?

5) This a difficult one, but when you describe 80-90% cure,
has the speed of total recovery has changed...fastened?
or is the total recovery time the same but you feel much much better within that pois period? (hope you understand!)
