Just checking in, I "O'd" 3 times today as part of my plan. 

It does seem like a cunning plan!

By this time,, Hoping should have done the interview. I am  very, very thankful that Hoping has joined me to do the interview. We will hear from him directly!

There are several reasons that have made me to go "public" about this condition:

1.- My life has improved dramatically over these past months, and all of you are the reason.
2.- I look at my past, and how could i have progressed during the years i experienced this horrible condition, and i repeat to myself: Never again! . POIS has wasted so much time for all of us that we could not afford anymore to miss this opportunity to destroy this ugly monster(as demografx calls it; demografx you´re such a hero for me, your dedication and commitment to the cause should be an example for all of us).
3.- I have no shame. Sex is another dimension of the human life and POIS is not our fault.  We deserve to be treated like every other human and we have the right to ask for a research.
4.- I have told my problem to some of my friends and relatives. I am not "nervous" anymore(You will see it on El Mundo report) when i am talking about my problem. They fully support me and they have encouraged me to take this step.

We should do everything - I know for a fact that other POIS members are going to go public very soon about this problem in their countries, explaining it on the media - to have a research as soon as possible, and to get the medical community on board. POIS has a solution. If we  are like an "army of bulls" determined to beat this condition,this objective would happen very soon.

Hey guys. Im my POIS, burning eyes/eye pressure behind eyes/light sensitivity and cognitive symptoma seem to go hand in hand. Sometimes it takes me all day to open my eyes fully without redness.Does anyone else feel this way?

You are so, totally correct, Observer!!!  POIS is slowly coming out of that dark closet -- because of people like Animus and you! You're a hero to a lot of people!!!!
 
Can't wait to read that article!!!  Perhaps NORD can include a link to it on our FB and Twitter pages -- and who knows what else. (We'd only do this with your and Hoping's consent.)  Anything that will raise awareness -- and maybe bring in more funds for your grant -- is the goal.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been to the forum lately. I did the El Mundo phone interview for the article a couple days ago and also did a video/skype interview with them this morning which they are going to post on the website along with Victor's video on Saturday. My Spanish is a little rusty, but I felt pretty good about it afterwards. I mainly talked about symptoms and treatments I've tried. I also talked about the social stigma and how upsetting it is when doctors look at you like you're crazy. I stressed that I enjoy a healthy sex life and the condition is very physical (not some psychological complex). I was nervous to do the video, but I'm tired of being nervous about going public and putting a face to the disease!
Thanks observercenter for putting me in touch with them. El Mundo was very respectful. Can't wait to see the article tomorrow (Saturday).
