Signing in again...

My pois is now gone i believe..
I take whey protein , Spirulina and wheatgrass in the daytime, every day.
I believe whey protein as well as spirulina helps with pois since it is rich in tryptophan, the precursor to serotonin.
Which gives you relaxation and general well being.

Ive also taken maca powder, wich has given me libido and energy.

But what my "research" has boiled down to is that anything SOUR may work against pois..
Sour stuff in general are antiinflammatory, antibacterial...

So I take Cranberry, rosehip and ginger caspsules before O, and after O.
This has so far eliminated the pois..

Summary:
Whey protein, Spirulina and wheatgrass daytime for vitamines, minerals and amino acids - for general well being.
Pois formula: Hit it with all sour antiinflammatory stuff you can find - Ginger, rosehip, cranberry.

Cranberry can be used against urethritis.. Maybe there is "something" entering the wrong place somewhere.. meaning that one has to prevent inflammation with antiinflammatory measures ( as ginger, cranberry, rosehip etc).

Try Ginger, cranberry and rosehip before o and after o.

Best Regards

as this condition is awful, i want to share my progress here in case it might help someone.

I believe it was ginger that made the difference and probably killed pois for me.
homemade gingertea, raw ginger, ginger extract... try them all.

i believe it killed my pois.
I take it before an o.

The symptoms of my POIS match a list described in an earlier post which I have pasted directly below:
Lack of concentration
Lack of cognition
Disorientation
Brain fog <-- most important
Absentmindedness
Confusion
Shortened attention span
Depersonalization
Exhaustion (physically and mentally)
Word finding difficulties
Tongue tied
Decision making difficulty
Inability to comprehend/retain what is read
Impairment of speech and/or reasoning (forming thoughts into words)
Depression
Anxiousness

Currently my POIS has drastically improved and I have not experienced any of the above symptoms anywhere close to how they used to affect me; so I wanted to share what I have been taking:
niacin B3
Vitamin B complex (Holland &Barrett)
Bioglan super green powder (Holland & Barrett) –

Bioglan super green powder is a supplement powder that contains over 80 ingredients all in one (i.e. spirulina, maca powder, flax seeds and many more). It is a little expensive but you can’t put a price on being POIS free.

I have a friend who also struggles with pois symptoms and has now been trying the same combination of supplements for about a week, so I will keep you updated when he gives me his feedback.
I hope this is useful to someone
Good luck

Greetings. 28, Male, European, developer. I was suspecting that this feeling of being cursed or destroyed after sex should not be normal. At lest it should not continue up to 3-5 days. From the age of 26 i also obtained hyperthyroidism (autoimmune) and graves disease (autoimmune). Also chronic HBP. I will try to gather all my personal thoughts and observations in the list. I have good memory (even with POIS :D) and I did always track my body and all the breakpoints in my life, but i will try to be short. Please keep in mind that those are only my personal experience, i’m not a doctor and i do not suggest anyone to practice on themselves.1. POIS symptoms can appear in youth and their strength increase during the lifetime.
2. POIS has some relation with endocrine system and hormones.
3. Exercises (especially gym) increase organism recovery rate but do not remove POIS. Also it's kinda not the best idea to train hard with high BP.
4. Eventful days, for example travelling increase recovery rate but do not remove POIS.
5. During POIS BP is even higher than usual.
6. Some basic anti inflammatory drugs based on paracetamol or nimesulide partially remove symptoms for short amount of time (approx: 1 day)
7. Melatonin in drugs help to recover faster. At least when i use them and go sleep earlier than 1:AM i feel much better in the morning even after evening/night sex.
8. POIS has strong relation with immune system.
9. The only thing that completely removes all POIS symptoms for decent amount of time is betamethasone (diprospan).

So the only thing that really helps me is corticosteroid injection. I tried betamethasone for the first time when was fighting to ambrosia (pollen) and was so much surprised when it also removed like 90% of POIS symptoms. I was full of energy during the duration of substance (approx 12 days). During this time i can sleep with woman as much as i want and I keep being multitask, sharp-mind, etc. I guess corticosteroids pulse therapy should help also but i can’t rely on doctors in our country so I can’t test it. Anyway corticosteroids help for some amount of time and you can’t use them for too long. In general they suppress immune system, remove inflammation but also your body is more vulnerable for infections and viruses. Also taking them for too long affect the normal routine of adrenal glands (they check that hormone level is high and produce less or even stop producing hormones).

So basically i have two main thoughts:
  • POIS can be caused by autoimmune reaction. This also answers why medicine nowadays can’t do anything with POIS. Because medicine can’t do almost anything with autoimmune disease. Antihistamines are complete trash. Injections of allergens in small doses can last for years and still there is only a chance that they will help. Also those injections require identifying of the allergen.
  • POIS can be caused by some kind of infection/virus/bacteria/organictrash. Some of them are hard to identify. Actually for this one i’m on same page with the guy named Adolfin, his messages are few posts before mine.

I would like to update and confirm that GINGER kills my pois.
Even if i get pois after an O, i am able to have an O later on and "prepare" with ginger and then get away from the pois-state that im in.

Ginger is antiinflammatory.
It works best if i take it on an empty stomache maybe 15 minutes before an O. I also take it after an O.
Home made ginger tea works i believe, raw ginger works, and capsules work.

Been a pois-sufferer for at least 10 years.

So heres one testimony about GINGER killing pois.
Try Ginger capsules, ginger tea, raw ginger (just chew and get that stuff down with water) before an O.

So, according to this principle, in order to kill pois do as follows;

Take some antiinflammatory stuff: niacin ( i believe its antiinflammatory?) or ginger (or try some other potent antiinflammatory stuff), on an empty stomach before an O.
That is: Antiinflammatory on an empty stomach before O.

Hello
Let me not arrogate anything. I was a POISer since childhood and I have been free from POIS since 2.5 years. Since then i have not ingested any drugs including niacin. I believe to have found out the "Permanent" cure for POIS. And I believe that it is no longer a syndrome.

The reason for me posting is because pois had wasted years of my life. But now luckily by the grace of almighty, i am free. But there is a need that this loss must be compensated. I know the cure, and you need the cure. And i need a certificate of discovery of curing the POIS, which will be helpful to me in future endevours.

Therefore, I want an official certificate of discovery of cure of POIS signed by the researchers, and which can be recognized by the US authorities anywhere in the country. My claim is that you will be free from pois permanently. The mechanism subsurface can be further researched.

The moderators might ban me for this post. But the severe potential to cure yourself permanently and immediately might be lost too.

Hoping for positive response
Cheers!

Glad to know ginger helped someone else. I generally drink ginger tea made with fresh ginger after my breakfast as it tends make sleep difficult if I take it too close to bed time. Also it tends to constipate me so I try to only take ginger right after I have a bowel movement.

But it is the most helpful remedy against POIS that I've found so far.

I would say Ginger kills my pois with 100% efficacy as long as i just take a good amount of it in some way ( i can eat many things so i just chew down some pieces of raw ginger :) ) 30 minutes pre o.

Big thanks to You.
Truly appreciate it.

Testosterone patches work for me. I've posted often about it since 2009, so you'll need to do a little digging here. Impossible to summarize in one post.

So, according to this principle, in order to kill pois do as follows;

Take some antiinflammatory stuff: niacin ( i believe its antiinflammatory?) or ginger (or try some other potent antiinflammatory stuff), on an empty stomach before an O.
That is: Antiinflammatory on an empty stomach before O.

It might not necessarily be an anti inflammatory effect. Its frustrating that a number of people are finding different supplements or meds to help them and they work on different biochemistry. I have had some success with anti histamines like a couple of others. Ginger acts as an anti-histamine. It also acts as an anti parasitic herb.

I also have improvement (but not cure) with a limited diet - pretty much a paleo diet. Numerous pois sufferers on here have reported improvement from doing a diet that treats candida and or garlic. I also have less symptoms when I take high dose Vit B3 but not the flush version but niacinamide version...but only for a few weeks then I have to have a break then go back on it. I tried the flush version but was disappointed compared to some others on here who raved over it curing them or at least dramatically lessening their symptoms. I was diagnosed as an under methylator so for me, something like high dose niacin is theoretically is not an ideal supplement as it reduces methylation.

I have bad brain fog and decided to try the niacinamide version as there has been success with that treating dementia sufferers. It also happens to be a great anti fungal. I have issues with parasites, amoeba type and flukes, which I am struggling to eradicate (so hard to find a savvy doctor on parasites). For me its quite possible that they are the cause of my pois. Not directly but maybe as a side effect of their impact on my body..like malabsorption, but there really is no direct link to parasite infection and an orgasm that I know of. I have also much less pois during period when I was on a anti-parasite drug and had excellent health, but it wore off after a month alas. I have tried raw ginger & garlic as its recommended for blasto, but cant say it has helped my pois to a significant extent (maybe a little bit though). Its hard going though as I feel worse on it...which may be strictly due to parasite die off. Parasites also cause inflammation.

I have not seen parasites mentioned here much as a possible cause of pois with others, but it might be a factor for some, given that quite a few people feel improvement on strict no sugar no carb diet. I got pois at the same time I started to develop IBS and food intolerances.

The raw ginger could well be working strictly due to its anti inflammatory effect. When I have pois I feel like I have brain inflammation. theoretically something like low dose prendisone or curcumin should also work well for you. There was a post from med student recently who said he got great relief from a corticosteroid drug which backs up the anti-inflammatory theory.  Histamine (allergy response) also causes inflammation, and that might be a prior step back in the reaction. Have you tried Benadryl?  Given raw ginger is working for you at 100% you struck gold, so no need to go looking anymore, but I'd be curious to see if it does.

I like to mention a website that some on here who are still struggling to find a cure (or even just reducing post orgasm symptoms) might find interesting for things to try.

cheers
