cure the inherited blood disorder sickle cell anaemia.

How can curing one patient's disease possibly be unethical? You may indeed diminish his resistance to malaria, but that's surely his choice.

Gangrene? Yes, we can prevent it destroying your entire body it but you won't be able to play football. Where's the ethical problem?
