Skunks are great !

Black and white things of aroma inducing luff !

But, I've never had the pleasure of skunk nasal hugs & shmishes !!..what's it really like ?...can ewe describe it ?

What's skunk juice ?....do skunks like it ?....where do they spray it from ?

Do I really want to smell it ?....and is it bad for me and ewe ?

Sunlight encourages the hops in beer to form sulfur compounds very similar to those made by skunks. Ever have a beer, probably from green or clear glass bottles, that smelled and tasted sulfury? In the States, much of the Heinekin, Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell, Sam Smith, suffers from this problem. This leads some Americans to think European beer is skunky and awful! Poor things!

NO, you can come on over here and experience it up close and personal if you like! LOL I could set you up with a few of my lovely scented neighbors. You will be reeking the rewards and benefits of skunky LUFF!! LOL Seriously, if you get sprayed, from my experience with me brother who was sprayed directly in the face and body. It is so pungent it burned our eyes and was painful to say the least. The odor horrible and hard to tolerate. I would say it smells nothing like sulfur from a science classroom. That smells like rotten eggs! A skunk I can't describe, but it is way more potent as far as lasting effects and it is of an oily substance which is hard to remove from the skin. We used Tomato soup and milk at the time to try to neutralize the odor! That was the answer way back then. My brother smelled for weeks after that regardless of daily baths to remove the odor. If you call your local veterinarian they can give you the formula to make at home which helps counteract the smell. I cannot remember what they used. for some reason I think it had peroxide or something in it. I will try to find out again . Our dogs were sprayed regularly by skunks! Just the smell burned my eyes when I was around me brother. Our front porch was horrid for a while.

If you have ever driven by where someone has hit the skunk with there car, you would smell the odor! It is, however, way way way more potent up close.
They raise their little fluffy tail and flip around and spray from behind. They have some sort of sac that holds the residual juice. It is a stinky business for sure. I don't know a lot of details but the moral is don't startle a skunk. If you have to keep your hands still and low and don't wave them about and then very carefully back away from the skunk.. no sudden movements or loud noises and watch the tail, his or hers, not yours!! LOL

Phew !!.......just the way ewe describe it puts me right off enjoying cuddle fun with skunky joy and luff !!

I dare say it sounds like ewe were very lucky to not receive any permanent damage after getting a face-full of skunk juice.

Me brother got the face full of skunk juice but we had to clean him up and just the close contact was horrible.. I remember him crying some serious tears and really uncomfortable in his eyes and they were a direct hit.. I was only aftermath of helping to clean him up. It burned my eyes and the skunk did not spray me!

It is a self defence mechanism as far5 as the skunk is concerned. I have known of skunks who have been desacked if you will and been family pets, although I believe you are not supposed to have them for pets.  They are beautiful little critters!

Yes she was a lovely cat with a painted stripe!! LOL I love Pepe le Pew... He was quite the romantic and oh so charming.. LOL Hugs. Brought back good memories I haven't seen Pepe In a long, Long, time!

Karen, they have the entire Looney Toones sets on DVD, try Walmart. One of my teachers used them to demonstrate plot summarries to the class, and also to introduce most of the class to Bugs and Tweety, and other elements of the western word
