Ugh.. I hate it when you're on an airplane and you get a blocked ear for about 10 hours of an 11 hour journey!!!

I usually have a sweet when the plane takes off and then again when it's coming in to land. Just a simple boiled sweet should do the trick []

I have tried every conceivable method...sucking sweets, blowing whilst holding my mouth close, swallowing !!...I just get it sooooooooooooooooo bad...and when they go  ' crack '...Oh My GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWD !!!......it fu.....really hurts !!

Awwww, that's not nice []  So have you tried ear plugs? And the blowing whilst holding your mouth shut, do you hold your nose as well?

I have never had that happen , but it sounds painful. I have only been on a plane twiceOnce to go from california to Idaho and once to come home from Idaho to california, actually several flights from san francisco on the return trip as we were fogged in in humboldt and they kept sending us back to frisco.. 1 hour flights, from seven in the morning until 10 pm . It was interesting and very scary lots of turbulance and such.. I was 17 or so, and have never been on a plane since.. LOL I t scared the soup out of me!! LOL

I think planes are safer than most other travel.

Planes and cars and trains. I went on a joy ride on the Skunk train..LOL kina of a slow tour down the coast to Fort bragg was very pleasant and quite beautiful, sat in the outside cars going down and indoor cars comming back it was really fun..I seen alot of beautifl areas as we traveled along even through the wooded areas.
