Yes we burn wood.. Oak, Madrone, fir, pine.. we have a permit which allows access to the lumber companies property for wood cutting.. There are many areas in willow creek where you can legally go chop on forestry property when you aquire the permit! I also gather dead or fallen river alder it burns hot and nice just doesn't last as long as the harder woods.

Ah, it's similar to the UK's Strawberry tree, Arbutus unedo - the Madrone is Arbutus menziesii. The Menziesii comes from Archie Menzies, a Scottish naturalist.

That is interesting.. It is a lovely tree great firewood, Very hard wood.If you don't split it quickly it dries and is very difficult to split after that!

No they are not Karen and you know it. There are big bags under them. I have never learned to put on moisturizer(?) at night.

You can correct my misconceptions about beauty care - it has always been a hopeless cause for me.

ME TOO, I don't like too much gunk.. once in awhile lotion for dry skin.. and perfume.. Me loves perfume! LOL
