What are the point in them? I understand for females [], but why us males?

I think  McSeany (he of the clan McSean from Seany McSean Land ) probably means the whole mammary section including the nipples....don't cha Seany McSean ?

The point is that there is no clear functional reason why females should have enlarged breasts, except as a display of sexuality; whereas the nipples, and mammary gland, clearly do have a functional purpose for females.

With males, the vestage of a nipple was probably simply a byproduct that the foetus starts growing as a female before it suddenly realises that some of these embryos are meant to be males - by that time, it may have gone too far not to leave a vestigial nipple upon the male.
