Don't need a long range missile, just need to launch closer to target.......

Find a rock. Machine it into pieces about the weight of a cricket ball. Using a sling, you can throw them about 100 meters with lethal result.

Find a stick. Machine one end to a sharp point. You can throw a big one (say 1.5 m long x 1.5 cm thick) about 100m with lethal result, or use a woomera to double the range (takes practice).

Get lots of shorter, thinner sticks (about 1 m long x 1 cm diameter). Sharpen one end or attach a bit of sharp rock. Fix feathers to the other end. Launch with a longbow. Lethal up to 1 km.

Carve a piece of wood into a boomerang. Takes about 20,000 years to learn how, but great fun and lethal at 100m.

For personal protection, a cricket bat is more effective than a baseball bat. No defensive strokes in baseball.

We actually agree for once, he is worse than I was, I learnt some control, so surely he can learn some control if he is serious about science, assuming it is a he.
