Is Psychiatry the most academic science?
« on: 26/10/2018 16:52:12 »
Is Psychiatry the highest and most academic science? I mean, it has the highest matriculation requirement. First to enter medicine, then to progress to Psychiatry a pass is needed.

People who operate on us, even on brains, are the best and brightest. Beyond brain surgery there is Psychiatry. You need around 92% to enter medicine, or a good degree. They study for about seven years, beyond a masters or PHD to a doctorate and then study more to become Psychiatrists.

They get a bad rap from the church of scientology. In a way they are not so popular although I recall people like Woody Allen see them for lifestyle improvement and there is now ketamine therapy.

They work with forensics...

Some of them think the mind persists after death.

What say you?
