Robs Uncle lives near Ironwood Michigan! Isn't that up northern michigan, I am lousy about location or directions!

yes it is. we just opened our sixth store this past summer in utica which is about twenty minutes north of detroit-no idea how many miles-and when we went to detroit for an evening out the owner of the company wouldn't let us leave his sight without chaperones. and we were all adults. but it was scary so we were glad to have body guards

LOL...we had to take a detour through downtown Detroit. I was terrified. I told the kids to lock your doors and hubby just laughed at me and told me it was stray bullets we needed to worry about. This southern girl was not thrilled with the mean streets of Detroit. [

yes. it was kind of nice though cuz the owner also gave our body guards company credit cards.. we didn't have to pay for any of our own food or drinks. it was the best business trip ever!

Yikes, me just got reamed for leaving me door unlocked all the time too. I used to always lock it and the last few years I have on a couple of occasions,but then felt safe again and relaxed.. but a week ago I recieved a unexpected delivery that really frightened me.. and maybe I deserved the scolding..

Sounds like a great trip! I never take trips! I have traveled very little.

my ex boyfriend's parents used to leave their door unlocked too. then their neighbor started just coming in their house. he never took anything, but it was very weird. so they started locking it

Kadie, how far are you from Zanesville? My son, Michael was there for about a year going to school...

Carolyn, you are sure right! Detroit is a mess! My girlfriend and I drove from here to Canada and had to go through there...we ended up on the wrong street(all of them are)and went through a laundrymat and they had bars all over the windows...yikes! A good sign this is not a good place to be! My girlfriend was driving at this time and I told her to go...but oh, no! She rolls her window down as 3 guys approach us and I told her they are looking at Texas tags and 2 lost women...first question they asked her was....Are you lost? I told them NO! I told my girlfriend hit the accelerator and go! I had to explain why....geez...You were right about locking the doors there!

I am sure. He loved it there as it was small...LOL But it was cheap for him to live and go to school from there.

I always lock the car door but only lock the house when we go to bed or leave town.
