Face masks are certainly beneficial to those who sell them.
Not sure about anyone else.

Strongly recommended for bank robbers, misandrists, and mothers who like scaring their children. Especially the cucumber eyes.

When we were young, we were all encouraged to wash mud and grease off our faces. I can't recall at what age girls were encouraged to put more on, but the growth of women's rugby may help restore the balance: get dirty for sport or work, clean face for dinner.
