Hello everyone,,
Is it possible to make cogs/gears with magnets instead of teeth? You could propel one of the gears to start a chain reaction Mobdro because you set them in series, which causes gears to repel each other and thus making a great quantity of rotating magnetic fields out of where you might generate more energy because of coils than it costs to keep the installation running.

This technique been used to transmit motion through a wall without making a hole in the wall - for example, to stir liquids inside a glass flask without making a hole in the flask.

You save on mechanical friction and wear in mechanical cogs, but you still lose energy from eddy currents and hysteresis from the magnetic fields.

Magnetic bearings are regularly used for high-speed and low-friction applications; thy are very useful where lubrication of mechanical surfaces doesn't work very well, eg in a vacuum.
