Here's the problem...
« on: 25/08/2019 12:49:11 »
Religious people: God has always existed.  He exists because he just does.

Science people: Something has always existed because something can't come from nothing.

Now whilst I don't believe in God it does seem that when you break both science and religion down they both come to the same conclusion: something has always existed.

I believe in God but I am also a Physicist.
When I study the mechanism how how the Universe works; whether it be a plant's uptake of water from the soil, or how gravity is responsible for planetary orbits, or an electron orbits the nucleus. All created by the One God.
I have found that the more I delved into Physics the more I came to realise that there must be a God.

I can understand why people believe in a God because everything looks designed, but there is no evidence for one.  And if there is a God then he/she must have come from somewhere, be made of something etc.

We could just be a computer program, on some kid's computer that he has forgot about. Wouldn't that be sad, everything we are is just the resort of some kid's science project.  Not that i believe that.

What bothers me is there seems to be reluctance from scientists to discuss and research how everything came from nothing.  It is the most fundamental aspect of science.

All created by the One God.
Things that are asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

No point researching how everything came from nothing

The statement that the stuff of the universe was always there, is no more absurd than the statement that it was created by a timeless being that was always there, but it involves fewer assumptions and is therefore the more scientific statement.
