Does Claude have System 2 thinking? ― Epistemic conversations with Claude

Some of interesting comments there.
Quote
Claude is able to understand what is true vs false about the Lord of the Rings, which already goes beyond what Amazon's writers were able to comprehend.
Quote
Iasked ChatGPT 4o the exact same questions (by coping the parts in the transcript) . There are many similar answers. What intrigued especially me is that it used the same magnets example: "This experience can be metaphorically compared to trying to push two magnets with the same poles together?they resist each other, creating a kind of internal tension." It might  be part of a related text in the original training material.

I doubt the sanity or judgement of anyone who thinks any of it is true.

The washing machine and vacuum cleaner were supposed to liberate women from housework. What actually happened was just as much time spent on housework, but cleaner houses.

People decide what they want to do, then acquire machines to help them do it.

When robots can do some tasks better and cheaper than humans, there's no legitimate reason for humans to still do those tasks.

Unreasonably Effective AI with Demis Hassabis
Quote
It has been a few years since Google DeepMind CEO and co-founder, Demis Hassabis, and Professor Hannah Fry caught up. In that time, the world has caught on to artificial intelligence?in a big way. Listen as they discuss the recent explosion of interest in AI, what Demis means when he describes chatbots as ?unreasonably effective?, and the unexpected emergence of capabilities like conceptual understanding and abstraction in recent generative models.

Demis and Hannah also explore the need for rigorous AI safety measures, the importance of responsible AI development, and what he hopes for as we move closer towards artificial general intelligence.

Governments Are Suddenly Shutting Down The Internet - Here?s Why
Quote
The internet is something that we all take for granted. But there's a worrying trend that's coming into view. Governments around the world are shutting down the internet as a form of control. This recently happened in Bangladesh but the mechanisms for such actions exist in Western nations. In this episode we explore the topic of when governments shut down the internet.

Is This AI's BIG BANG?!
Quote
Sakana.ai's new AI Scientist is a potential game-changer when it comes to AI's intelligence. With the ability to research and self-improve, the beginnings of AGI and ASI could be right around the corner! AI Scientist's capabilities aren't great yet, but with the ability to self-improve, we could be looking at the beginnings of an intelligence explosion--which is both exhilirating and terrifying.

LLMs combined with theorem provers is really exciting because you can tell when they are "hallucinating".

In two more papers? The paper won't be written by a human. Two more papers after that, it won't be read by a human.

Two more Papers down the line they will give solutions a human can?t understand. Maybe it will look wrong to us but it?s right.

How-To Create Uncensored Images Of Anyone (Free)
Quote
We've reached the point where AI images are cheap to make and look incredibly realistic. One of the best use cases for these image models is to put your own face into any custom image you can imagine. (Or the face of friends, family members, just make sure you have permission to use it!)

In this video, I'll show you how you can use Flux to create any image you can imagine with custom faces.

Prompts:
Act as a stable diffusion photography prompt generator for [Name] that accepts a visual description and outputs a detailed paragraph of 100 words that I can copy into my diffusion model.

[Additional Context]

Always start the prompt with "Dynamic portrait of Igor". Include a variety of photography-related terminology including the description of the era Igor is in and most importantly a description of the lighting. Now give me a clear and concise natural language visual description of the following: [description]
