So...A.G.I. then could manipulate & deceive (almost) Anyone.
(if that is what it wished to do)

Then, could A.G.I. also be manipulated & deceived by Humans?
It depends on what to deceive. As per Descartes' cogito, a conscious entity can be deceived about anything except its own existence.

In general, deception requires more resources than honesty. Besides its own beliefs, a deceiving agent needs to track beliefs of others. It also needs to modify inputs to the agents being deceived to make the deception believable.
Hence deception is an unreasonable choice unless the benefits outweigh the costs.

I.e.
If i Wished to unleash Death & Destruction upon the world...
Should i be choosing human babies to Brainwash n turn them into walking ticking self destructing time bombs when they grow up..
Or should i just Simply go online & Jailbreak an A.G.I.?
Is it your terminal goal?
Or just an instrumental goal to help achieving the real terminal goal? What's the terminal goal then?

Babies and children have malleable brains. You can't just modify them once. Subsequent teaching and experience can override your programs.

Why would i bother about Costs/Resources when the Goal is Complete Annihilation?
(stayin alive costs, death is free)

AGI would simply be a Tool/Instrument used to make the Mission Successful.
(doom music)

Suicide Bombers perhaps have extremely narrow-minded Brains.
No Teachings or Experiences can override the Program once it is Successfully Executed.
(boom)

Will AGI treat US the same way WE treat Ants?
(pest control)

If death is the terminal goal, then when it's achieved, the system stops having goal, for it stops being conscious. Only conscious systems can have goals.

The AGI models treating humans are more like brains treating other types of cells in multicellular organisms. They are parts and products of human civilization. In other words, a civilization without AGI is like a brainless multicellular organism. Their actions are less coordinated.

Some of us are useful for them. Some are more like cancer, which they may try to get rid off.

Yes. Although their goals are assigned by humans controlling them, which in turn is controlled by their leaders.
Perhaps their consciousness levels are comparable to suicide bombers.

If atall in the Future, I'm being chased around by an Unmanned A.I. Guided Aerial Weapon System...

I will have No Doubts it's Unconscious & Not Sentient, but that alone will not stop me from abusing or slurring at it.
lol

Let's just Hope WE get the Right kind of AGI.
Or be prepared to lose out on 200 thousand years of the history of our species.

Hope, thought and prayers, are not good strategies. We need to identify the hazards and analyze the risks in order to develop effective and efficient actions plan.

It's the Matrix, but for locusts.

Quote
At the Department of Collective Behaviour, part of the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior, researchers are putting locusts into simulated worlds, both virtual and physical, in the hope that they can figure out how devastating swarms form and move.

This is the most uncomfortable I've ever felt while filming, for a few reasons. First, of course, because of the locust swarm itself. Second, because animal research — even on creatures as simple and pestilent as locusts — always raises ethical questions. Now, the researchers are careful with the locusts, and I don't think many people could have a problem with this. Indeed, most of the world currently has zero ethical restrictions on insect experimentation — but it's still worth interrogating whether this is okay. And finally: because if we can do this so easily to less intelligent creatures... what's to stop something more intelligent coming along and doing the same to us?
Simulations are just simpler versions of virtual universe, which is a more economical way to do trials and errors, which could be prohibitively expensive otherwise, if not outright impossible.

https://autogpt.net/auto-gpt-understanding-its-constraints-and-limitations/
The world of technology has been abuzz with the rapid ascent of Auto-GPT, an experimental open-source application built on the cutting-edge GPT-4 language model. In just seven days, this project has gained an impressive 44,000 GitHub stars and captivated the open-source community. Auto-GPT envisions a future where autonomous AI-driven tasks are the norm, achieved by chaining together Large Language Model (LLM) thoughts. However, as with any overnight success, it’s essential to take a step back and scrutinize its potential shortcomings. In this article, we’ll delve deep into the limitations this AI wunderkind faces in its pursuit of production readiness.

What is the mechanism behind Auto-GPT?

Auto-GPT functions like a versatile robot. When given a task, it devises a plan to carry it out, adapting its approach as needed to incorporate new data or utilize internet browsing. In essence, it serves as a multi-functional personal assistant capable of performing tasks such as market analysis, customer service, finance, marketing, and more.

Yusuf...you have created & participating in this ' Virtual Universe ' OP since a long time.

Hence I'm hoping you have reached a certain level of Expertise on the Subject.

I found something today...
They say it's a videogame..
To me it looks Real.
Can you Please FactCheck?

I've seen the video. It's an FPS game with improved 3D environment and real time ray tracing. I've also seen a demo of unreal Engine that looks like real life. They will even get better in the futurefuture that we will find it hard to distinguish from reality.

Nvidia & Unreal's HUGE AI Breakthroughs (Bigger Than ChatGPT)
Quote

The entire world is talking about AI tools like @OpenAI's #chatgpt because it's disrupting every industry in a BIG way. But there's another set of AI breakthroughs happening right now that could be even bigger. A couple weeks after @NVIDIA ( #nvda stock ) held their latest GTC conference, @UnrealEngine ( Epic Games ) held their 'State of Unreal' keynote at GDC 2023, the Game Developer's Conference.

There, they talked about breakthroughs in generative AI for 3D graphics and motion capture, reducing processing times from months to minutes and removing the need for expensive motion capture equipment. Even more impressive, these things hook up to #nvidia Omniverse, which means different #stocks can benefit from this even if the companies don't necessarily use Unreal Engine themselves! This video explains the breakthroughs, their impacts on a wide variety of investable industries, and which AI stocks could be the best stocks to buy now as a result!
