Since both oceanology and geology here , I had thought about Noah's flood.
Tide relates moon and recently we have a temporary moon.
Could a massive temporary moon caused Noah's phabled flood.

Apparently we have a temporary moon orbiting at this time , a rock chunk.

It's an interesting idea, but tides rise and fall due to the rotation of the Earth. A sustained tide for several days would only be possible if the Earth were tidally locked with the object (which wouldn't happen for a temporary system).

It also wouldn't explain "raining for 40 days and 40 nights"

Yes, but this chunk of rock is nowhere near large enough to produce moon-sized tides, let alone a cataclysmic flood.

Interesting thought if it has any foundation as the Black Sea may be too small but 250,000 years back when homosapien had just stopped being the predecessor there was a giant mega lake in the Sahar.

That one is in Egypt and can be thought of as modern there is one extinct lake in NNWest Africa can be seen from space was earlier and massive compared drained into West coast by two large tributaries.

Aside to all that , massive underwater eruption may have caused the biblical floods (The great flood is also mentioned by the Assyrians and Sumerians).

Noah's flood was a result of ice melt ultimately. There were incredibly huge lakes in NA and they rose sea levels by about 400 feet or so. In a very short time period. Since humans have always lived close to the oceans that killed some 80% of world population. The extent of the flood is easily visible on google Earth. That would be the sand going some 200 miles inland in the south of the USA.It settled about halfway of the new height. It's why the beach is where it is.

There's no real evidence that Noah's flood existed.
It's like trying to do a study of dragon aerodynamics.

We've had floods in East Anglia and up the Thames Estuary ever since time began - or at least since Doggerland sank beneath the sea. They are all caused by tides and a northeast wind. If the wind blows from the west, it floods the Netherlands (the clue is in the name) instead.

Sensible farmers move their valuable stock to high ground (such as there is) if they get enough warning, but salt marsh sheep get to swim a few times a year. .

The biblical world was a very small place, so any flood, earthquake or plague of locusts devastated most of the known world and a really big one was worth writing about.
