Dearest Stickologists,

I really want to push this stick !!

The Stick That I Simply Must Push !!
Non doctored true life bona fide picture taken just moments ago !!

When I do push the end of the stick, will the other end move immediately ? Or will the stick contract for a brief moment before it entirely moves ?

whajafink ?

Of course the other end isn't going move right away any more than a sheep will move right away if I ask it. That would be communication faster than light.
The onset of movement propagates up the stick at the speed of sound at best.

Nothing is completley stiff, everything has a flex so it does not move all at once.
