Pauline got in touch to ask:
Would it make sense to develop a ‘hat’ - like a bee keeper wears - made of material that is resistant to Covid, that everyone or maybe just the most vulnerable can wear? People could mix then and use public transport, although it might look weird?
What do you think?

You need to devise a fabric that traps 99.9% of 0.3 micron particles, is transparent, and won't fog up your spectacles or get covered in frost....bees are a lot easier!
There are plenty of "space suits" around. Dentists nowadays look like firefighters, with their airconditioned helmets. Given the economics of mass production, I guess we could eventually all end up in a 1950s sci-fi movie, but my preference would be to get rid of the problem.

Well genrally speaking I like new and slightly weird ideas a lot. The only issue I see is, that people want to met up in order to eat, drink or smoke, which would be a challenge with a full helmet on. Plus: These lockdowns in which you really cannot go to a bar are (or should be) more of an exception. A mass production of helmets that are (hopefully) not used a lot would probably not pay of for any company.
