Because of their own Body Chemistry?? That is true and I have often thought about that . as I will smell a perfume on a person and love it, but when it gets on me yuck! LOL I wonder if it really is our own individual body chemistry?

You're probably smelling a combination of natural human body odor and perfume, which could be why it smells different on different individuals.

Don't your pheromones have something to do with it? As perfumes are often based on pheromones of other animals (I think), it might be reasonable to expect a mixing of chemicals to ellicit a different smell.

Yes that is what I was talking about! LOL I could not think of what they said every person produced their own Pheromones..LOL Thank you !! I could not for the life of me explain what I meant... You did well and you remembered what they were called and I couldn't remember! LOL
I have heard something about that in the making of certain perfumes that can actually be made with Pheromones!

Even though wearing the same perfume, people smell differently due to their unique physical traits and attributes. Like unique fingerprints, our skin is composed of distinct chemical compositions that result in a unique aroma when perfume is applied to it.

Your skin's pH balance, dryness or oiliness, hormone levels, and even your food are thought to influence how your body reacts to perfume. As a result, a perfume may smell great on your friend but not on you when the same amount of perfume is put to your skin.
