Evidence can harm your preconceptions!
It is clear that there is damage that we have caused ourselves,
The significance is that it shows that very rapid climate change is inevitable, not anthropogenic. So instead of blaming the rich for it and doing nothing, we should be making preparations to live with it.
I believe the land of siberia will become habitable,
World wide many countries will not even notice a change, other than pineapples in Scotland.
Quote from: PetrochemicalsWorld wide many countries will not even notice a change, other than pineapples in Scotland. Many large cities worldwide are built near sea ports or coastal rivers.- Higher temperatures means expansion of ocean volume, and increasing sea levels- That will increase the number of times per year that storm surges and/or high tides overwhelm coastal protection, and cause flooding of city facilities.- sometimes sea level rise is exacerbated by pumping of groundwater for human consumption, causing a fall in land levels. - Some cities are already retreating from the coast
there is VLF approach for closing of the ozone hole
Not really.
Alex says:There is a lot of talk about global warming and how catastrophic it will be. I have heard a major problem is the earth's poles are heating up too rapidly, and if this heating up could be delayed a month or so it would solve a lot of problems. If this is the case then to my mind the solution is simple - put an umbrella in space over the pole and move it from pole to pole each weather cycle using ionic positioning rockets. The amount of heat from the sun could be controlled by standing the umbrella on end allowing more heat from the sun as required. As this technology develops it could also be used to control hurricanes and typhoons by heating or cooling areas around them allowing them to disapte safely at sea. What do you think?
And what better way to start than developing technology for use here on Earth.
