It looks like the Kent variant is taking over everywhere it is introduced!
- In those cases where the Kent variant has come in after the South African variant, it has crushed the South African variant...
- It should be classified as an invasive species!

Those are really difficult (read impossible) to get rid of once established. Your only hope is to isolate and eliminate first invasions.
I’m on a team trying to prevent the Asian Hornet getting a foothold in the UK and the problems are very similar with track and trace being an essential part of the system.
