Is coffee good or bad for the body?
« on: 01/04/2021 07:20:50 »
This is not a new question, but I'm really intrested in this topic.
So there are studies for both sides. On the one hand scientists say that coffee is bad for the heart and overall health. On the other side there are scientists that say coffee is actually healthy. But on what does this depend on. Is coffee maybe healthy for certain people. Or maybe only a certain amount of coffee per day?
What are your thoughts on coffee?

Perhaps coffee might be good for you in the short-term.  Though not necessarily in the long-term.
But in the long-term we'll all be dead anyway.

So if you enjoy drinking coffee, you might as well carry on.

You eat, you drink, you die. The key to a good life is to enjoy eating and drinking before death gets you.

That's right. There are of course other physical activities to enjoy.  Other carnal delights to engage in. Though sadly the vigorous performance  of such activities tends to diminish, as the body withers and wastes away in its slow  evitable decline towards death

But even so - before death,  eating and drinking is still possible, at an advanced age.  So that's some meagre consolation.  Perhaps.

Coffee is pretty good for you as it has anti-oxidants and such (it works better than some antioxadants from spam.  The problem is consuming regular amounts of caffeine isn't ideal, but if you are like most people and are addicted to regular caffeine consumption (me included) then drink up buddy and don't worry much about it.  Consuming caffeine regularly is definitely not optimal living but it shouldn't be a major concern.  I'm sure there are much more important negative habits you should focus on breaking.

Quote from: Paracelsus
it is the dose that makes the poison
Too much of anything can kill you.

Caffeine tends to reduce the feeling of tiredness - but with cheap electric lighting and multiple screens competing for our attention, many people in Western countries are chronically sleep-deprived. Sleep deprivation can reduce both the length and quality of life.

Caffeine is the main active ingredient in coffee.
- Caffeine boosts your metabolic rate - so you might perform better in sports.
- It increases heart rate, so if you have heart problems, avoid large doses of caffeine.
- It apparently reduces the chances of depression
- But the effects are many and varied.

Apart from being hit by a bus, there are two things that can kill you: too much of what you like, or too little of what you need. The choice seems pretty obvious to me.

Coffee is one of the most beneficial drinks on earth if we take it in moderation. It is also healthy for your body, but you need to choose the best coffee. I personally use Spamremoved coffee. When I started this coffee, I read all the Spamremo ed reviews for their users who were already drinking it, and the reviews were very favorable, so I started.

While too much coffee is bad for you, moderate amounts appear to have health benefits. Better learning outcomes, lower rates of type 2 diabetes, and possibly lower rates of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. I read it at Reddit [nofollow]
