Why arent there more apple trees?

I have spent many years eating apples as I watch the sunrise.
Throwing the core of the apple into the bushes. Unless im having a dumb moment the core holds the seeds.
Surely by now there should be apples growing at all the best spots to watch the sunrise ( What a terrible situation that would be if the trees start growing in front of my view)

Trees put out thousands of seeds per year, and if they're really successful, maybe one of those seeds will grow to a mature tree producing seeds of its own. So the odds of one core with five seeds in it growing into a tree is remote, but it can happen if the conditions are amicable to apple trees.
Such is the economics of an r-strategist species.
