Hi, I tried to find the answer online but it was taking me so much time to find the answer that I decided to ask here.
I am a BEng myself, based in the UK, but don't know these figures.

Try
https://www.statista.com/statistics/768691/engineering-professionals-employed-uk/
and
https://www.engc.org.uk/
The latter says about 230,000

In the 1800s, there were a lot of engineers
without
a Bachelor's degree.
The size of this group reduced in the 1900s as technology moved to diesel and electric trains.
