Should we have one section for each or mix them togther?

I dont think we should have it at all.

As far as I'm aware, I'm the only psychologist in residence here - & you wouldn't want me running riot in my own forum, would you!  [:D]

As far as IŽm aware your the only Beaver to....lol

Oh, I do that already.

Yes, I do, don't I.

All hail the Beaver Dr! Your own forum would rock!

It does... http://beaverland.forumup.us/

Maybe you could have your own DIY show, how to choose a stream, the best trees, How to spot a nice beaver!

A section that would be both interesting and practical would be linguistics.  I mean, although a vast majority of the users may have English as their native tongue, there must be a lot (like me) to whom English is a second or third language. And I think we have a lot of experience to share, that may also be valuable to English speaking people who are learning an other language.
I am thinking about items like "false friends" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_friends)

    Semiotics! why not?

Did you mean semiotics, or semantics?

Semiotics, from what I can gather, has never really been a very cohesive discipline, having very diverse applications, and diverse approaches that go along with that.

Semiotics is a fringe science to a degree, true.
