Chris would like to know the answer to this question.

"How did the chrysalis phase of the caterpillar / butterfly lifecycle evolve? Evolution is about a long series of very small steps but it is difficult to imagine how an insect species could incrementally move from a non-chrysalis lifecycle to one that does."
