holcomb generator?
« on: 16/04/2022 17:45:20 »
anyone heard of the Holcomb generator? an alleged free energy device. in a conventional generator the rotor will experience a back-torque when under load. their solution is a static 'rotor' with the rotating field produced by electronic switching (ie a transformer). this a basic description of their physics shattering device(not). I can't believe people can buy into this. and of course, they are looking for investors.

I can't speak for "anyone", but I haven't heard of it.

Thanks; that saves me the trouble of googling it.

It's pronounced "hokum".

It seems the us patent office has granted a patent(us11336134b2) to this generator with a non rotating rotor. While they don't specifically state that the system produces more energy than it uses, it is very strongly implied. I thought Robert park complained so bitterly about such "overunity" nonsense that the patent office would no longer grant such patents without a working model(which of course never happens) . It is a long and tedious read with many false claims and falls into the "baffle them with bullshit" category. It is just a three phase transformer of dubious topology. PS, alancalverd, it appears he pronounces his name as "hokum"!

Many people do not have even a basic understanding of science.
It's not so long ago since I saw a university biology lecturer with a PhD post this video of a perpetual motion machine on Twitter asking if it was genuine.
