Judging by the continued existence of Saami and Inuit societies, wearing deer skin or using it as bedding or building material is no impediment to sex or reproduction. My undergraduate friend Ed (now Professor Ed) wore a deer skin and had a problem with girls until his Norwegian flatmate pointed out that the deer skin had not been scraped and tanned - the raw fat stank like rotten venison.  Saami and Inuit women spend a lot of time scraping and tanning animal skins because they know about this and don't want a house full of flies - or men who smell like dead caribou.
