Observing Quantum Entangled particles At the Same Time . What Happens ?
« on: 13/05/2024 10:49:15 »
Dearest Quantumologists,

Now, as a sheepy, my wool is always being entangled. Ewe pull one strand and another moves. This has baffled Quantum Woologists since 1743 when Sheep were invented by Sir Ramewe J.Umper the 3rd.

Now, say we have a pair of entangled particles. Observing one immediately changes the other. BUT.....what happens if ewe observe both the particles at the exact same time ?? what happens ? does the Universe suddenly end ? do all vending machines dispense goods for free ?

I need to know because I want to know and I hate not knowing stuff that I want to know.

Thank ewe for your kind consideration in this woolly mattered !!!

hugs and shmishes

mwah mwah mwah

To solve that conundrum we have invoke the Lamb shift!!  sorry Neilep, I couldn't resist, I have no clue as to the answer as it is well above my pay grade.

This is a misconception. Quantum theory does not say this. It simply says that if both are observed in the same way, the two measurements,  when compared, will be found to be correlated.

Simultaneity is relative, which means that in one frame, one measurement takes place first, and in another frame, the other does. In some frames the two will be simultaneous. Nothing special happens. Same as before is all. The two measurements,  when compared, will be found to be correlated.

They've always been free. Ewe've just naively been stuffing money into the things, thinking it will help. It hastens the process maybe, but that's all.

Please take this memo as authorisation to increase Mr. Cotters salary ten fold back-dated to 2014.
Please action this with immediate effect. "

Thank ewe Halc, I just can't stump ewe can I ? I did wonder about the ' relative' aspect..grrrrrrrr !!....I must be learning stuff else why would I have pondered relatively ?

 "Simultaneity" My new favourite word.👍

Extra remuneration for me, doubtful, I would not gambol on it. Anyways the "boss" these days = "the trouble and strife" (cockney rhyming slang). Alan appears to be in the same boat.
