AlanM: What are black holes made of?
« on: 05/10/2024 16:03:25 »
'Black' holes aren't made of anything.  They're actually just a collection of notes based on entropy increasing while the transparent non-hole (holes are 2D, the non-holes are 3D) sweats away its Hawking radiation and shoots jets of photons from its poles.  It doesn't need to spin to do so, in fact it is actually more efficient at 'standstill' because then it is a little bigger than when its equator bulges and its poles get closer together when it's spinning.  As a spheroid one uses (a+b)squared instead of r squared in the formula for surface area, and big machines are more efficient than smaller ones.  Ostrich eggs are warmer that hens eggs because of effects of scale, assuming the egg sitters survive the experience.
Thank you for asking the question.  It's been a pleasure answering it.
Cheers, AlanM.

More word salad, garnished with the occasional misused scientific term. I feel a ban is coming, I feel it in my bones.

Unlikely. The body temperature of all birds is pretty much the same as the essential enzyme reactions that allow them to digest their food are almost identical.
