Does Northern Ireland feel like a completely different country to regular brits?

The cultural attitudes in regards to weapons, sex, marriage, drugs, homesteading, standard of living, score settling, vigilantism, and judicial and financial matters just seems so 180 in contrast to the rest of the British Isles.

I've not noticed any difference in such cultural attitudes, only a wider acceptance of governmental incompetence, corruption, and religious parasitism. But it's all worthwhile because you get massive subsidies from the rest of the Kingdom.  Education does seem to be taken more seriously, though.

I'm not thinking about Afghanistan now or when I wrote this post. Ya Ya Ya, I get the sarcasm. Obviously, the laws and ways of the Irish, especially Northern Irish, are Scandinavian compared to the Middle East.

The mutual loathing among christians has not actually been written into the constitution of Northern Ireland, though it has de facto led to the collapse of local government and the persistence of organised crime.

The criminality that you refer to has unfortunately infected the bordering counties on the southern side of the border.

I was just wondering which particular attitudes you were relating too? Afgansitan pretty much ticks all the boxes. Could I have a few examples of UK NI differences please ?
