Are 3D printer emissions dangerous?

Tiago asked the Naked Scientists:
I'm setting up a 3D printing business and I'm a little worried about any emissions from heated PLA, ABS and other potencially dangerous materials inside the shop. I plan on having 5 printers working in the same space. Should I put an exhaust system?
Thanks!
What do you think?

Do the manufacturers of the printer devices supply specs on the outputs from each?
