Have I found a meteorite?
« on: 19/04/2017 10:15:15 »
Hello,

Some years ago I came across this rock, which I can't seem to identify.

It looks a bit like the "meteorite" may have fractured upon impact,

It is quite heavy and I've already checked that it is magnetic to a certain degree... A kitchen magnet can hang underneath the rock.

 Pictures can be seen here.

 Thanks in advance.

It looks and sounds as if it might be, but I'm no expert. It might be worth filing the least interesting-looking corner off to get a view of the inside.

Why don't you upload a picture into the message, rather than creating a link to another site that people need to click?

You can add the image by modifying your post and clicking the + attachments button.

You then upload and insert into your message.
