While most testing is for patients, the increased testing of staff may give an indication of how many people are asymptomatic "carriers". Also interested in experience of this where population testing is being done (eg Germany)?

I have no idea about this in other countries, but in the UK we've been testing people with symptoms rather than screening workforces unilaterally. That might change shortly though now that we have excess capacity.

About half of people are asymptomatic, 60% on that US warship. Japan says most infection came from a/presymptomatic people, China put a figure of 79% for a/presymptomatic spread.
