K so I was wondering. It's easy to find the # of calories, but what about carbs and sugar?  With the rising popularity of the Atkins diet, and similiar take offs, how many grams of carbs and sugar?

Is it bad to swallow if ur atkins dieting?

I've looked, but I can't find.  Can anyone answer?

What's up with the obsession with semen on this site?  I thought we had pretty well beaten this subject to death -- excuse the pun.  Maybe we need to open a new site for semen questions alone.  It seems to be getting a lot of press.

I wouldn't recommend the Atkins diet to my worst enemy...

Semen is very rich in fructose (a carbohydrate) which is what the sperm eat to help them keep swimming vigorously. If you're an atkins purist then you'll not want to consume semen...

I've a friend that is an Atkins drone. He keeps passing out and just can't figure out why. (smell my sarcasm) He asked the doctor if he'd seen this before, and the doc said that it was common for people on Atkins. The doc didn't even know that Mark was on this diet. I have to have my carbs. I can't even imagine what a meal would be like if there wasn't any carbs. (Think I'll pass on the semen)[]

Before we nix the semen topic, can we address why things in and excreted from the body are the color that they are? I've always wondered, but never asked why :
semen is white / off white
urine is yellow / clear
blood is red
feces is....
the liver is purple-ish
etc.
etc.
Any takers?

Thank you Ians Dad.  Now we can move on to other body secretions and excrements.  A source of fascination, no doubt <lol>.  Other than feces, bile is about the worst in my opinion. And it tastes bad too.

We can't help it. Our penises tell us what to do and we obey. It's a rough life. It should be looked at with sympathy and understanding. It drives us. Sorry Ronnie, you won't get a sympathy vote from me.  For every man who's slept with a woman there's a woman who's slept with a man (basic math), but we don't generally run around bragging about the guys we've shagged.  I imagine it would be just as tedious for guys to listen to as it is for women.

I think its disgusting if a guy or gal has slept around, i don't think it commands any respect. Had a friend tell me the other day that his mate had slept with 33 people, times that by the number of people they have slept with and its mank!! Sadly at the end of the day the guy can get away with saying he's slept with 33 girls, but a girl would be called all manner of names for making such a comment... In my opinion, both are disgusting!

the liver is purplish because it breaks down red blood cells
blood is red
feces is....
the liver is purple-ish

Semen is white due to the sugar
Urine is yellow from the liver breaking down ammonia into urea and releasing it, as well as bilirubin
Blood is red due to the iron combining with oxygen when it hits the outside
Feces is due to excretion of bilirubin from the liver
The liver is purple-ish because it breaks down red blood cells.  Blood is full of iron, which is a dark red color
