hey. ive recently started seeing my boyfriend for couple of months now. everytime we kiss and cuddle (no sex or genital contact) i break out in red rash like bumps and eyes puff up causing non contagious bacterial conjunctivitis. the doctors keep fobbing me off with golden eye ointment and very mild steriod cream. i already take antihistamines as im allergic to dogs (which he doesnt own). he started using same brand wash powder and cleaning product. my doctors refuse to help me properly so can anyone PLEASE tell me whats wrong i really like the guy so dont want to end it, however i dont want to walk round with rash all over face neck chest and arms and looking like a drug addict  please help

Is there any consistent behaviour that he has had prior to or while you are together? i.e. wearing a certain aftershave, eating a certain substance, wearing a certain garment?

And are you already an "allergic" person i.e. do you have a history of hayfever, asthma or eczema?

It does sound like you are having some sort of allergic / histamine-driven reaction; the key will be to identify the trigger.

I find it hard to believe that nobody seems to be allergic to their girlfriend.
