I covered this years ago, but I called it addicted to click.  A person gets addicted to the hand/finger moving and become addicted to typing and clicking.

How would you react if a corporation or a government could effectively manipulate or influence your behavior and drag you in complex addictive and obsessive-compulsive disorders?

If the issue is the one in this paper.

I'd switch off voice recognition on my phone and PC.
Problem solved.

If you are talking about a different problem then you need to make it clear what on earth you are talking about.

I'm talking about the cross-talk between addiction and neurocognitive impairments from prolonged/chronic mobile devices use.

Why's it called the "cocaine noodles effect"?

Interesting question. :)

The "cocaine noodles effect" is a experimental theory about the potential cross-talk between remote methods to compromise of influence neurocognitive behavior and addictive disorders using the "cocaine addiction model".

I want to know precisely if cognitive dissonance is at the root of complex addictive disorders and how chronic mobile devices use may stimulate cognitive dissonance.
